What we need:
We are currently looking to grow our virtual/broadcasting segment and add a Virtual Event Manager to our ever-growing Event Management Team. The Virtual Event Manager role at Meeting Tomorrow is responsible for the success of our virtual and broadcast events – interfacing directly with the client and managing the relationships post-sale. This role collaborates with the internal virtual and production technical teams to prepare and customize webcast content, ensuring client expectations are met. This person will also be involved in training and vetting virtual technicians nationwide and supporting events live from our Chicago office. We offer webcast support for many different webcasting platforms so we look to hire virtual event managers with experience in webcast production, audio and video recording, or video production so they can adapt quickly to client needs. Experience or knowledge of file encoding is preferred.
About the role:
Manage the audiovisual and technology aspects of our clients events
Develop and have complete ownership over event project plan: coordinate and communicate with all necessary parties (clients, vendors, technicians, internal teams)
Act as the liaison between internal teams, vendors, technicians and customers to ensure successful events
Build strong client relationships for accounts that have anywhere from 1 to 100 events per year
Work with sales team to translate expectations into deliverables
Communicate project details and updates to the client for upcoming events
Execute project deadlines and ongoing account management tasks
Contingency planning to get ahead of potential issues
Manage issue resolution
Who you are:
3 years of event planning, web production, audio recording, or video production experience required
Experience working with corporate clients preferred
Enjoys technical work or projects
Experience with or knowledge of file encoding is preferred
Able to think strategically and be proactive
Coachable and open to feedback
