Helping Glassdoor Cut AV Costs & Navigate Union Requirements

EVENT DETAILS

Glassdoor is one of the fastest growing online jobs and recruiting sites, and every year they host a large sales kickoff (SKO) for their employees. When Glassdoor reached out to Meeting Tomorrow, they’d just had a vendor fall through and were looking for a new AV provider that could help them with the general session, 9 breakout rooms, a temporary office, and video recording, all while adhering to union requirements. On top of that, the event was just 10 days away and 350 members of their sales staff were expected on site. Time was of the essence!

Staci from Glassdoor explains, “I reached out to a few other AV companies but Meeting Tomorrow was far and away the most professional and organized. Nicole and I spoke in detail about the event and she put together a thorough proposal and even offered suggestions on how to reduce the cost on certain components. From there, I met with Kristen and John at the venue one week before the event. Talk about total professionals! They were my allies the entire time when negotiating with the hotel, even offering ways to save money at the hotel.”

Win/win!! During the event, the team was always available but never in the way of all the craziness of the event. Because of Meeting Tomorrow, we saved 40k and the event went off without a hitch! - Staci McMenimon , Glassdoor Enablement Leader

MT SOLUTION

Meeting Tomorrow was able to review quotes Glassdoor had received and put together the best AV package for their event, which also saved them around $40,000. MT provided full AV production services for the internal meeting, including equipment for the general session, 9 breakout rooms, a temporary office for internal event staff, and recorded the program for employees to reference in the future. The selected venue was also a Union run facility. Meeting Tomorrow was able navigate which unions needed to be contacted and execute based on their rules, as well as effectively negotiate minimums so Glassdoor could focus on their event VIPs.

Hear from a few of our team members who worked on this event:

“What I liked most about working with Glassdoor is our relationship with Staci. Her knowledge of the event process helped us move quickly, and we were able to execute on a large and important conference for our client with only 10 days lead time.”

Nicole O., National Account Executive

“I enjoyed working with the Glassdoor team because of the energy they brought to the table on this event. SKO is a big deal, and experiencing their genuine excitement for the program first hand was fun for me both pre-event and then onsite as well.”
