When COVID-19 struck, the team at Habitat for Humanity, Seattle-King County, knew they needed to problem solve, fast. In turning their annual in-person fundraiser into a virtual fundraiser, they needed a quick turnaround, a seamless viewing experience for their donors, and a team who would take the technical work off their plates.

Working closely with their development team, we listened to their goals and what were the most important parts of their fundraiser. They planned to incorporate pre-recorded videos alongside live presentations and interviews with high-profile speakers, as well weave in short videos from their sponsors. They also needed a way to make it easy for donors to give directly from the platform.

Based on what we heard, we then chose the right software platform for them. From there, we coordinated the registration process so it was a one step process for their audience to sign up. We also worked with their designer to customize their virtual event stage so it looked and felt like their brand.

We blended live interviews and pre-recorded videos together for the hour-long program.

Finally, on the day of the event, we produced an engaging, hour long virtual fundraiser. Our production team was monitoring all aspects of the event the entire time, and our tech support team was on-hand to help any attendees if they had issues logging in.

The final result? The fundraiser raised over $1.6 million, which is more than their in-person event raised the year prior. These funds will support their COVID-19 Resiliency Fund and support their ongoing, important work helping deserving families build and improve their homes.
